David Leavitt
David O. Leavitt maintains a private law practice in the State of Utah, focusing primarily on criminal defense and governmental relations. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the President of the Leavitt Institute For International Development.
During 2004 and 2005, in addition to practicing law in Utah, Mr. Leavitt worked with the American Bar Association Central European Eurasian Law Initiative in Ukraine assisting the Supreme Court of Ukraine with legal reform. He is a founding member of The Leavitt Institute.
Mr. Leavitt has practiced criminal law since 1991. He spent eight of those years as an elected state prosecutor in the State of Utah and the remaining time as a criminal defense lawyer and governmental relations lawyer, assisting clients with their respective governmental regulatory issues. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer in Kiev, Ukraine on the issue of legal reform.
